I played a brief demo of the SAW game at E3 and was impressed by how well the game captured the atmosphere of the films. While I am the first to admit that this game could fall apart in any number of ways, I am still intrigued to see how a game development studio can take an IP like SAW and turn it into an interactive experience. Below is a new gameplay video to wet your appetite. O yeah! Did I mention that I will be broadcasting this game in it's entirety on the feed in early October?

I really hope this game doesn't fall to pieces, this could either be really good or very, very bad.

looks intense

dark, broody environment?
Stressed uncomfortable conditions?
solve or die puzzles?
Bourne-esque fighting system?
A steady and inhealthy stream of fucked up shit?
Nick i think we found our favorite game ever.

...I wish Silent Hill Homecoming was more like that.

sawlient hill homecoming...
i don't know... looks too much like something, we saw before. also, i only liked the first "saw" movie, and i hardly believe, that they captured the atmosphere of that one.

no, just no.
-pressthisbuttonnottodie events
-gamerscore for a single act
the movie was about isolation and knowing that you had to repent in their own sick little ways for your own, personal crimes, not brawl your way through other nameless, faceless people who have no backstory.
the only reason this is a 'saw' game is because it will attract a slightly larger fan-base, im just worried that they'll try to make a bad silent hill clone set to an unoriginal saw storyline, when they could have made a good saw movie or a good silent hill clone.

I never really knew what to think of this. The gameplay helped though.

Well, I'll be watching as Nick trudges through his fucked up shit.

It looks so really cheap.

the atmosphere is great, i was kind of freaked out by the moving shadow before reading Jim's toe tag.
I don't mind this game with the "saw" name attached to it. As far as I can see in thsi trailer this game looks sick on its own merit. But then again i'll have to see the full gameplay to make the decision.

I look forward to seeing a review from you.

hmmm what a tragic ending. I love the atmospheric feel of the game which is just like the movie and kind of feels like a Silent Hill. The sense of isolation where you can only help yourself when the odds are against you. I like the fact that in this gameplay preview shows that you have to save someone else while a bunch of things are out to kill you such as other victims and shotgun trapped doors. I just hope the game won't be too repetitive while you are broadcasting this in October.

I've got to say they have hit the nail on the head with the atmosphere but it kinda feels like a silent hill clone with too much QTE. However it looks like a game you will enjoy Nick
