This week, we unintentionally butcher Donald Glover's name. Ed joins the fray with his first appearance since getting his hands on a Playstation 5. He shares some thoughts on the first few launch titles he played and then talks at length about his time with Outriders; a game that has become a major topic of conversation lately. Nick talks Narita Boy, Nolan is split on It Takes Two for an unexpected reason, and Chris Davis has prepared a statement... about Days Gone. We also talk a little more about Monster Hunter Rise and tackle some big news in the community questions segment thanks to a big announcement concerning E3.

This Week's Discussion Topics:

I have a good (but probably flawed) solution to the whole "E3 Convention Center but COVID tho." I'd propose having smaller, group digital events around the U.S. as opposed to a giant convention in one place. If you all have ever seen the NYC Smash Ultimate reaction videos on YouTube, the energy generated from those are nuts. Maybe they could strike a deal with Best Buy, or Gamestop, or have various places host the events (like bars hosting UFC Pay Per Views). They could sell tickets to these events, and have merchandise/games to sell there as well. This is all a huge fantasy of mine that will never happen, but I've also never seen anybody really bring it up before.

I think Chris Davis’ idea for a statement was well executed, hats off to you sir. Small suggestion, a midway point to cover some talking points could help the discussion, having the script would help you keep your place and thoughts in line despite the small break. Also, appreciated the conversation on E3, interested to see where it goes in the future, despite my only real current interest in it being the announcements, though i do hope to go one day.

Ed making spreadsheets for games is very relatable. I occasionally do the same, the last time being when I was playing Yakuza Kiwami 2, trying to make the most badass team of hostesses for the cabaret club sidestory. But instead of a spreadsheet I just wrote the names of my top hostesses on an envelope, wrote down their earnings to find the best ones, and marking out the ones that didn't make the cut.

I like Chris Davis' idea for consolidated impressions, would be cool if they were posted here on the 4pp site as well. Seconding MisterSc0rpi0n's suggestions on having a midway point and giving everyone else a copy of the impressions to help along discussion.

Also, hate to say it, but I'm one of those people that the last movie I say in theaters was Cats. But it was all worth it for Shimbleshanks, the Railway Cat.
