E3 2019 is old news and we are back in the studio and ready to talk about video games that are out in the wild NOW! Nolan finally got his grubby little hands on Cadence of Hyrule and as expected, it is delightful! What IS surprising however is that Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night is finally out and has somehow managed to surpass our (admittedly low) expectations! Brad is quite taken by the game and his inner Castlevania geekness is on full display. Nick revisits Deus Ex: Mankind Divided and we talk about the design inspiration behind two BIG upcoming titles.

This Week's Discussion Topics:

Cadence of Hyrule
Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night
Deus Ex: Mankind Divided
Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order Design Inspirations
Breath of the Wild 2 Inspired by Red Dead Redemption 2?
and more...

My ears are burning thanks to Chris Davis so I’m here to answer his question about fight stick pricing fast enough to keep the others from getting bored.

Stick and buttons, arcade quality that can take hundreds of thousands of inputs and still work = $50-60.

High quality body that is heavy and won’t move with gameplay, and can take abuse.

Low latency PCB that often works on multiple systems.

Controller functionality not seen on some 3rd party controllers like touch pad inputs and button re-mapping.

Options including quick access to internals, storage compartments, and detachable USB cable.

Some sticks can be very pricy like the $350 Victrix, aka “the AirPods of fight sticks” but you can get a solid stick with most of those features for $100-$150 these days.

Regarding the error last week. I live in So Cal around 20 minutes to downtown LA. Also I find it odd how Brad trashes Monster Hunter World despite it being in his top 10 list.
