Suda51, just coming off the release of Shadows of the Damned and the announcement of Lollipop Chainsaw, has announced yet another title. Sine Mora is a downloadable shooter being developed through a partnership between Grasshopper Manufacture and games publisher Digital Reality.
Much different than earlier titles with Suda51's name attached, Sine Mora is being described as an "innovative shooter" set in a steam-punk setting and one that "that mixes traditional side-scrolling gameplay with unique time manipulation mechanics."
In fact, Digital Reality is said to be developing most of the gameplay aspects of the game while Grasshopper Manufacture is handling the art style, sound, and general presentation of the title. And while it has come out that Suda51 won't be personally involved with the product to a large degree, sound will be handled by Akira Yamaoka, of the Silent Hill franchise.
The trailer below gives a glimpse into what we can expect, and though there aren't any large chunks of gameplay shown, I'm very much taken in by how much this game resembles Crimson Skies, at least in look. If it can match the gameplay of that other great title, we may have another great game on our hands.
Just make sure to buy this one, ok?

So is Yamaoka a Suda51 thing now? That's pretty exciting.

Huh, I'll keep my eyes peeled, but I'm not sucked in just yet. If you guys have taught me one thing, it's not to get excited about a graphical style alone.
