Game: Contrast
Developer: Compulsion Games
Platforms: PS4 / PS3 / Xbox 360 / PC
Release Date: November 15, 2013

Contrast has had my attention since I first set eyes on it at PAX East 2013. It is a game that at first glance, appeared to exemplify the great things about the Indie game scene. It had charm. It had a unique visual style. But most importantly, it had a clever take on a well established genre. Did Contrast have what it takes to leave a lasting impression or will it be forgotten amongst the increasingly crowded indie space; overSHADOWED (see what I did there?) by games with a stronger foundation? Watch my review to find out!

Have to say I'm kinda surprised the amount of glitches the ps4 version has, I played the pc version and I only ever encountered one glitch although it was game breaking. Honestly my main problem with the game is that it was too easy and there were not enough puzzles to justify the price.

I haven't gotten far in it on the ps4, but I really like the aesthetic choice and I love the music in it. It's a really neat idea and for whatever reason, I find myself solving the puzzles in a convoluted way that the game mechanics shouldn't really allow. I do have fun with it.
