Capcom have released a new cinematic trailer for the upcoming console port of Resident Evil: Revelations. The game, which was previously a Nintendo 3DS exclusive, is being ported to the Xbox 360, Playstation 3, Wii U, and PC. The port will feature new enemy types, and will allow players to play as Rachel in Raid mode. Here's the trailer:
I don't own a Nintendo 3DS, since I don't currently have the kind of disposable income to afford a piece of hardware I'll hardly ever use, so I'm glad RE: Revelations is being ported to consoles. The trailer is a bit silly, thanks to Resident Evil's trademark stodgy voice acting and daft plots, but I've heard good things about the game and I look forward to checking it out.
The port of Resident Evil: Revelations is set for a U.S. release date of May 21st, and it will be hitting the UK on May 24th.

Don't get me wrong, I loved this game on the 3DS and thought it was pretty great. I don't really think it was good enough to need a console port though. It was really easy with the only real problem being the management of 3DS controls. The storyline is passable but it starts getting convoluted and frankly pretty dumb towards the end. It seems like since the game was made to compensate for the 3DS that it won't be good on a system that can do a lot more.
